TRADITIONAL GENTIAN VIOLET INK
Viscot Medical's first and oldest ink is an industry standard for marking on the sterile field. Traditional Gentian Violet ink has a long history of reliable patient marking, spanning over 50 years.
Its resistance to less aggressive prep solutions, such as betadine and iodine scrubs, makes it an excellent choice for pre-operative marking for facial and opthalmic procedures and intraoperative marking.
ALLSKIN® INK
AllSkin® ink features a brilliant blue option created for enhanced visibility on all skin tones.
GVFREE® INK
Developed to alieviate concerns brought up by California Prop 65 and Canada Health, Viscot Medical’s GVFree® Ink provides a gentian violet-free alternative to traditional Gentian Violet ink while maintaining the familiar purple color clinicians rely on.
Like with our Traditional Gentian Violet Ink, its resistance to betadine and iodine preps makes it an excellent choice for above-the-neck and intraoperative marking, and for any patient who may be allergic to Gentian Violet.
VIXL® PREP RESISTANT INK
Patented ViXL® Prep Resistant Ink delivers clear, visibly marks even after a 60-second ChloraPrep® scrub- double the reccomended minimum time.
Uniquely formulated to resist all common prep solutions, including alcohol-based scrubs, it has become the industry standard for correct site marking below the neck or any procedure that calls for more rigourous prepping protocols; plastic and cosmetic surgical requires that require time intensive pre-operative markings; tumescent liposuction; or for any professional who's tired of having the marks dissapear before they're finished.
GREEN & RED XL PREP RESISTANT INK
ViXL® Prep Resistant Ink is also available in gentian violet-free alternatives: red and green.
Red ViXL® ink is optimized for maximum visibility across all skin tones, helping ensure accurate markings for every patient.
Green ViXL® ink provides an additional color option to support procedural orientation, especially useful when multiple surgical procedures are taking place at the same time.
Like our GVFree® Ink, ViXL® Red and Green inks are ideal for clinicians and patients with concerns or allergies to gentian violet.
Non-Surgical Skin Ink
EZ REMOVABLE INK®
EZ Removable Ink® is formulated for easy removal using an alcohol swab or warm soap and water.
Engineered to eliminate the common annoyances caused by traditional markers during non-surgical procedures, such as phantom purple marks left behind and smearing. EZ Removable Ink® markers are ideal for injectable treatments like Botox®, consultations, and other non-surgical precures.
Available in red, green, and white to give clinicians options.
Green remains our most popular ink color overall. Red offers a versatile option that is clearly visible on all skin tones and has been preferred for laser procedures.
White is our newest addition, developed specifically at the request of clinicians for laser procedures. Many professionals also find it ideal for non-surgical aesthetic procedures where ultrasound gel is used.

BLACK WATERPROOF PERMANENT INK
A dependable standard, waterproof permanent black ink ensures lasting visibility on medication labels and surfaces such as vinyl, glass, and metal.
Suitable for routine labeling and general purpose marking.
